Lebanese Spinach Salad

Spinach salad with sumac and walnuts

Ingredients

  • 100 g of spinach
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • of small onion approx 1 tbsp
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sumac
  • salt to taste
  • small handful walnuts crumbled by hand

Instructions

  1. Wash and roughly chop the spinach
  2. Chop the tomatoes and add to the spinach
  3. Take a small fraction of an onion and slice into very thin ribbons
  4. Add a good sprinkle of sumac along with the olive oil and salt
  5. Taste and check the seasoning, adjust if necessary
  6. Crumble a few walnuts on top by hand before serving
